Overview
A Discount Card allows businesses to automatically apply a percentage-based discount when a customer presents their loyalty card. It is ideal for offering consistent, card-level incentives such as 5%, 8%, or 10% off.
How It Works
Discount campaigns are tied to the loyalty card setup itself and not managed separately under the Campaigns page. When setting up or editing a discount card, you define the discount rate directly within the card configuration.
This setup ensures:
Every scan of the discount card applies the defined discount.
There are no additional campaigns needed or configurable per discount card.
The discount is automatically granted during point-of-sale or scanning events.
Real Example
You might create a card named "Discount - Silver" and configure it to apply a 4% discount. When customers present this card, they will automatically receive 4% off their purchase.
Creating or Editing a Discount Card in Loyaltify
To set up or modify a discount campaign:
Go to the Loyalty Cards section from the side menu.
Click Edit on an existing discount card or create a new one.
Set the Card Type to
Discount.In the discount configuration field, enter the desired discount percentage (e.g.,
4%,8%).Save your changes.
Once saved, the card will automatically apply the specified discount every time it's used.
