Quick Summary

Loyaltify Notifications allow you to automatically engage with customers based on their loyalty activity. Notifications can be sent when a balance changes or triggered by specific actions like birthdays or reward eligibility.

Overview

There are two types of notifications:

  • Default Notifications: Sent when a customer's loyalty points or stamps change.

  • Automatically Triggered Notifications: Custom messages based on specific conditions like location, tier, or birthdays.

How it Works

Notifications are triggered by customer actions and sent automatically. You can customize the message, trigger condition, and card type.

Default Notifications

Default notifications are system-generated messages that are automatically sent when a customer performs an action, such as earning points or redeeming points.

Automatically Triggered Notifications

Triggered when a customer meets a condition such as:

  • Earning a reward

  • Reaching a tier

  • Entering a specific location

  • Birthday

Each message can include reward points and optional expiration.

Real Example

🎉 "Happy birthday! Come and get your free coffee :)" Send personalized birthday rewards to encourage repeat visits and make customers feel appreciated.

Creating a Notification in Loyaltify

1. Select Card

Choose the loyalty card that notifications will be sent.

2. Select Notification Kind

The notification kind is always Automatically Triggered. Default notifications are predefined by the system and cannot be created manually.

  • Default Notification: For balance updates.

  • Automatically Triggered: For custom triggers.

3. Set a Trigger

Select the appropriate trigger condition. Loyaltify supports the following automatic notification triggers:

  • When customer’s points reach a certain amount

  • When customer is eligible for a reward

  • When customer’s tier changes

  • When customer’s birthday is today (optionally include reward points)

  • When a customer is near one of your branches and has a reward

  • When a customer is near one of your branches and has no reward

These triggers help personalize customer engagement and drive return visits.

  • Customer’s birthday

  • Tier upgrade

  • Reward eligibility

  • Customer near branch

4. Write a Message

Compose a personalized message that will be sent to the customer. You can include dynamic placeholders to tailor each message:

  • %earned_amount% – Points, balance or stamps earned

  • %spent_amount% – Points, balance or stamps spent

  • %total_amount% – Customer’s current balance

  • %card_name% – The loyalty card name (e.g., Cashback - Silver)

  • %discount_amount% – The discount value offered

Example: "You’ve earned %earned_amount% points! Your total is now %total_amount%. Keep going to unlock rewards!"
